    Hello! I'm Charlie

    I'm an illustrator and mama of three. Fearless Flamingo was launched back in 2018 a few week's after my youngest arrived. It was my mat leave project and has since grown into my full time love - something I'd always dreamed of.

    It started with a print - The Alphabet of Emotions - and over the last couple of years I've expanded into lots of other products and styles. But all with the same aim in mind - to inspire and nurture a positive mindset and bring a little joy to your day.

    I've often thought about who my customers are and why they buy from me and it feels clearer now than ever. You are looking for thought and meaning and beauty. You care deeply about others and finding the perfect 'something' to keep, or gift or do and making someone happy is really important to you. And I love that it matters as much to you as it does to me, as this mirrors exactly what goes into making every piece I create.

    It's why I love reading your reviews and hearing how a gift made someone burst into happy tears! To know I've helped someone feel loved, heard and special is amazing and the biggest motivation to keep going.

    My first print was the Alphabet of Emotions - a slightly different take on the usual ABC with an A to Z of positive emotions and attitudes, illustrated by a whole family of animal characters. I wanted to create something that could help encourage my kid's to talk about their days at nursery and school - a kind of positive prompt at the end of the day when we were all feeling a little weary. These quickly turned into flashcards so we had a handy way to use them and they're now a bedtime favourite for all of them in different ways.

    And the name?

    ​It was pinched from the 'F' in the Emotions A to Z, not just because I love a flamingo, but also because it's the one that resonated most with the journey I was about to launch myself on. It was something I'd always dreamed of doing and only then, after 15 years working in advertising and 3 babies down the line, had the confidence to do. It was a happy coincidence that it also reminds me of the two most important little F's in my life, my eldest kids - Flora and Fred.
